Required by the state of Ohio, standard protection covers items at 60 cents per pound. Included in all moving quotes given by Blue Men Moving.

Full Value Protection

With Full Value Protection, Blue Men Moving is liable for the replacement value of lost or damaged goods in your shipment up to a predetermined dollar amount.

Third-Party Insurance

Blue Men Moving partners with Movinginsurance.com to offer full coverage, flexible options to cover losses or damages that may occur during a move.

How much does moving insurance cost?

The cost of moving insurance depends on several factors including the type of coverage you select and the value of your belongings. Released Value protection is free and included in all of our moves. Full Value Protection and third-party insurance vary depending on your possessions.

Do I really need moving insurance for my move?

It comes down to personal assessment and choice. If you’re moving a few things down the street, you may feel comfortable without coverage. However, if you’re moving items of high value, say a leather couch, piano, or designer furniture, we recommend purchasing coverage to protect your valuables. What is not covered under moving insurance?

Certain situations may limit your ability to file an insurance claim including:

-Not disclosing the value of items before your move

-Boxes you pack on your own

-Packing items which may contain hazardous or dangerous materials without informing your movers

-Natural disasters like tornados or snowstorms
